Day Stay and Inpatient Care
Opened in 2013, our private ward and day stay feature local art in our waiting areas and are set in garden surroundings.
Our 9 hotel-style private suites each have their own ensuite, Sky TV and Wi-Fi, while our 5 bed day stay suite also offers comfortable recliners for patients to enjoy refreshments following their procedure.

Operating Theatres
Churchill’s state-of-the-art modular operating theatre was a first in New Zealand. The OR features a hermetically sealed glass panel system and laminar flow ceilings. And with a silver ion embedded lining on the back of the glass panels destroying 99.99% of dangerous bacteria, the combined benefit is an ultra-hygienic and spacious environment our surgeons find a pleasure to work in.
The theatre is part of the Wairau Hospital Theatre Suite, where Churchill also leases additional theatre space for their specialists to operate.

Churchill Specialist Centre
Your GP or medical professional is able to refer you to the right Churchill Specialist to meet your needs.
Both resident and visiting Specialists consult from our Specialist Centre, covering a wide range of surgical and associated specialties. Attracting Specialists to our Marlborough region means you don’t always have to travel away from home for your Specialist consultation or surgery, so you can stay close to family and friends.
Churchill holds ACC contracts for clinical services and elective surgery, and is an affiliated provider with Southern Cross Healthcare.
Medical Imaging
With state-of-the-art digital x-ray, ultrasound and MRI, Marlborough Medical Imaging offer a fast and friendly answer to Marlborough’s imaging needs. Closely aligned with Churchill’s Specialists, an x-ray examination can be done on the same day and ultrasound appointments are usually available within one week.
