After graduating from Otago Medical School, James completed specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology training in Dunedin, Christchurch and Nelson and is currently a Senior Medical Officer at Wairau Hospital.
Along with his wife and three children, James says it’s a real pleasure to be living in the Nelson Marlborough Region. He is passionate about providing woman-centred healthcare in an open and approachable manner and he looks forward to supporting the women in the Marlborough region.
He will be offering general gynaecology services through Churchill Hospital and Specialist Centre including:
- Management of abnormal bleeding, abnormal cervical smears and vulva skin conditions
- Management of menopause
- Investigation for infertility and recurrent miscarriage
- Investigation of pelvic pain
- Mirena and Jadelle insertion and removal
- Novasure endometrial ablation for menorrhagia
- Hysteroscopy polypectomy and fibroidectomy
- Laparoscopic management of ovarian cysts
- Laparoscopic endometriosis management
- Vaginal prolapse repair
- Vaginal hysterectomy
- Total laparoscopic hysterectomy
