Michael McAuliffe completed his orthopaedic training in Australia in 2004. He then undertook Fellowship training in knee and sports surgery in Auckland in 2005 with subsequent consultant orthopaedic posts in Queensland.
In 2016 he was awarded the ABC Travelling Fellowship undertaking visitations to multiple North American Centres of Excellence. He attained his PhD in 2021 which is based on knee replacement surgery from the Queensland University of Technology and is currently appointed as an Adjunct Professor at QUT.
His special area of interest is all knee surgery and hip replacement surgery. He is actively involved in ongoing research and holds multiple patents in relation to orthopaedic surgery.

Royal Australasian College of Surgeons
The Australian Orthopaedic Association, The Australian Knee Society, The American Hip and Knee Association and is a Deputy Clinical Director of the Australian Orthopaedic Association National Joint Replacement Registry.

To make an appointment with Mr McAuliffe, a referral from a medical practitioner is preferred, but self referrals are accepted.
To make an appointment relating to an ACC claim a referral from a medical practitioner is required.
