Sean Chan graduated from the University of Otago and is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
He holds a full membership of the New Zealand Society of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, the Australasian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and the Australian and New Zealand Rhinologic Society.
